What is Universal Method?
Universal Method is the accumulated martial arts knowledge of 4th Dan Master Jerome Sandiford. The modern term Mixed Martial Arts describes systems that incorporate Wrestling/Grappling, Striking and Submission.
Universal Method Martial Arts is a percussive impact e.g. punching and kicking based system which uses movements based on long existing principles to create techniques which can be used in self-protection and as a means of physical conditioning
Through practice in a classroom environment we learn how to use the human body effectively, economically and efficiently.
Universal Method Martial Art training strengthens the body and increases health using proven techniques. We arm our students with knowledge, strength, fitness and awareness.
Our Martial Art challenges the students mind, spirit, perseverance and tolerance. Our goal is improvement. Through mutual respect, one to one, partner and group training we share the true power that Martial Art gives its practitioners.
